THE TRADITIONAL CLUBHOUSE
- a haven away from the pressures of city living
ong
Kong Marina's spacious clubhouse has the true character of a Southeast
Asian hideaway. Hemmed in by lush, sub-tropical vegetation, it is styled
after the simple, stone and wooden boathouses used by the privileged few
around the region for their favourite sport.
The Marina's relatively small size means that there will always be a strong
relationship between staff and members. We believe this allows members
better to enjoy the fully-licensed bar, and the extensive restaurant serving
light meals from breakfast to dinner. For winter time, there's even a
proper log fireplace where members can thaw out while discussing yachting
or the day's catch.
The Marina's aim is to provide its members with a home from home, a retreat
where it is possible to unwind from the pressures of a long day in the
office. This means the thoughtful provision of facilities such as a mini-supermarket,
a well-stocked chandlery and even the choice of a chauffered golf cart
service to take members form their cars to their boats.
THE BEST BOATING FACILITIES
-Hong Kong has to offer
aturally it is Hong Kong Marina's boating facilities that are of primary
concern to our members. As the first and premier marina in the territory,
Hong Kong Marina has always had an obligation to provide dedicated boaters
with the facilities they require to enjoy their sport and leisure.
This means a policy of continual expansion, with the potential for 250
berths for every kind of boat, be it a luxury power cruiser or a 35-foot
ketch which has brought its adventurous owner across the seas to this
haven on the South China Coast.
The requirements of our membership, however, have meant an emphasis on
larger vessels, and the need for the modern essentials of home and office
while
the boat is berthed. As a result, each of our new, fully-serviced pontoons
can accommodate vessels up to 155 feet, with the potential for berths
up to 150 feet at a later stage. The essentials are also provided: telephone
and fax lines, fresh water at the turn of a tap, local and satellite television are available
and, of course, a reliable power supply.
The pontoon system is designed and constructed with concrete floats, and quality materials to an internationally recognized standard. Recognising
the unpredictable nature of the sea, our customised installation is designed
to withstand the worst the elements can unleash - including a super typhoon if it were to ever materialize.
A high-quality fendering system further protects your vessel, while wide,
stable gangways ensure you'll never put a foot wrong when boarding. Furthermore,
all pontoons are lit for safety, and lighting is also provided on the
service modules that accompany each berth, and on the breakwater.
As a service to those who take their boating very seriously, Hong Kong
Marina prides itself on providing the very best megayacht facilities in
the territory. We have prepared 19 new berths for luxury power yachts
of 80 feet, 12 berths for vessels of 105 feet and 3 berths up to 155 feet, plus a wide range of smaller sizes from 20 to 80 feet.
