acilities
were modest in those early days, but from the very beginning Hong Kong
Marina members could cherish the magnificent views from the verandah of
the clubhouse, surrounded by the peaks of the Sai Kung Peninsula on three
sides, boarded by the sea on the other.
It is, quite simply, one of Hong Kong's most picturesque natural settings,
and one of the most peaceful too, set back from the busy Hiram's Highway
which can whisk members into the bustle of Hong Kong Island in little
more than half an hour.
Directions
From Hong Kong Island, take the eastern harbour tunnel and follow the
signs to Sai Kung, via Tseung Kwan O (Junk Bay). Continue northwards along
Clearwater Bay Road. After the traffic circle near the Hong Kong University
of Science & Technology, turn right onto Hiram's Highway and head for
Sai Kung. Approximately two kilometers past Marina Cove, where the Hong
Kong Marina and Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club are signposted, turn right
into Che Keng Tuk Road. The marina is situated approximately one kilometer
along this road.
Follow the blue signs.
